Julia Smith founded The Digital Voice in 2012 and specialises in digital communications, PR, event content creation, press distribution, thought leadership, industry event creation and moderation, awards writing, digital PR strategy and event experiences. She has expert knowledge in PR, communications and event content creation for adtech and martech companies. In her role as Founder and Managing Director of The Digital Voice, she manages a team that delivers PR, communications and showcase experiences for long-term clients Impact, White Bullet, Covatic, Inskin Media, Brand Metrics, Adverty, Cavai, Adnami, Admixer, Audience Store & tmwi; plus virtual experience clients of IAA, Magnite, Glamour Magazine, BloomFest and Captify.
She started her career in digital advertising at Dennis Publishing 26 years ago and she has been at the heart of the changing digital media landscape ever since. She has held major commercial roles both agency and media side including Associated Newspapers, 614 Group, The Mirror Group Newspapers, Dennis Publishing, Harvest Digital, IAB, Nexus Business Media and UPC Media.
Known as ‘The Voice’, She is a regular industry commentator and speaker and she was nominated for the Greatest Individual Contribution Award at the New Media Age Awards 2010. In 2016, she was voted by the industry as being in the top 5 Digital Trading Leaders 2016 at The Drum Digital Trading Awards. Most recently, she was nominated for Global Ad Tech Personality of the Year at The Wires 2020 and SheHasNoLimits Community Maker 2020 award.
